Just a quick update today I think, as I wanted to post another picture yesterday but the connection was quite slow. John took this beautiful shot about a quarter of a mile from our house. If you can see it in such a small shot, it looks over the valley, down the escarpment to Lake Malawi and you can see the point at out into the lake as well as some of the small farmsteads.
A couple of updates on things I wrote about earlier: Joyce, the woman in the hospital is doing well and they hope to be able to send her home soon; it looks like our luggage may be a lost cause, but I suppose that could change. We have started to replace some of the things that were in the trunks which requires a tremendous amount of effort here - lots of tramping around and stopping in lots of little shops that stock a confusing variety of things. We're going to file a luggage claim and see if we ever see any reimbursement - or who knows those trunks may still mysteriously show up.

I am so enjoying your story telling Susan! I can just see you and John at the dining room table looking at the view.
We missed you at Game night. We solved everyone's problems, ate too much and laughed a ton.
Your weather (mosquitos and spiders included) sounds better than our way below zero windy weather. I need spring!
